Midget 50th New Dates!! July 18-22, 2011

Go ahead and call them. I called rather than waiting for them to call me.

I haven't heard yet either.. If I don't hear by Saturday, I'll call them...

Agreed about the N.O.S.H.I.T. group. .. best would be to get together to talk.

Anybody need help with their Sprite in the Seattle area and wanting to host? Even this spring would be good.

No message from them here either. We called them today and are booked from Sunday night through Friday night. Friday night was a bit higher at $110.

I got an email from them this week to change my reservation, I called them & changed my reservation - I think you should contact them.

I will have to wait until next year to make the reservations. I have to make the vacation request and it has to go though the whole seniority thing and only so many people can be off the same week, blah, blah, blah. I think its st valentines day, when its all done and you know for sure. I plan on making reservations as soon as my vacation is confirmed. It would be nice to stay at the place where its all going on. How far is the other place from the hotel where the main event is going on? I need to put some new(er) tires on my trailer. Those have been sitting since LOTO and they were not looking great then.

you can always cancel hotel reservations for small if not any fee at all... might be better to book now, come April the pickings may be very slim...

I took Trevor's advice and called the Victorian Village yesterday. They changed my reservation with no problems, and I got the new confirmation letter by email today. Only 232 days away!

Steve

Are there special rates for Spridgeteers? (or have I missed that)

Yes. I think the rate is $95 a night including breakfast.

Also there is no fee to cancel a reservation if it is done 4 weeks out. There is a small fee to cancel between 2 and 4 weeks out, and one night for cancelations less than 2 weeks out.

Got mine changed today. Now for the nights of the 18th thru the 21st. Bob's yer uncle.

Reservations made...nice rate...adjoining rooms.
Now I really need to get moving on the car.
Doubt you all are gonna allow my Ford truck
in the show...

Paul

OK, reading some of the posts, I might try and go ahead and make reservations soon. I have a question. I will be towing my MG and will have a trailer and a Ford ranger pickup as well as the midget. Do they have space for the extra vehicles? I know the Inn on the Grande Glaze was good about that, just checking here. I am leaving tomorrow for Wisconsin. I will be in the Neenah/Appleton area but I will have a rental car. I might run over there and check out the Hotel if I get a chance. I think this is going to be great. Last time I was kind of mentally prepared for a regular car show and it was so much better than that. Everyone there was interested in spridgets and we all got to see what each other had done with the little cars. That is the only place you are going to find that. I regret not getting names of folks, I don't remember names well. I also regret not getting more pictures of the individual things people had done.
You guys travelling from out west and worried about crossing the desert/dry areas without AC and dying with the top up. There was a guy there at Loto that had made his own bikini top for his car. Gobs of air and no sun beating down on you. I wanted to go for a ride with him but other things going on.

From previous postings on the web site I belive they said trailer parking was down the road (2 Miles) at Road America and was $50 for the week. I'll try to find the post to double check.

I know Bill M was planning on making a sun top. I may also, but the last time I drove the route we will be taking It was 103. Thats just hot.

In my younger days I wandered around in the west quite a bit in Brit cars and on bikes. If the heat was really going to be brutal we would plan to do the hottest stretch's in the morning. Usually bearable till 1pm or so, so modify to get off at 4am!! Motels with pools and good AC after that. In those days the heat did'nt bother me much but made Brit radiators boil!

Cheers all and see you in July!
Kurt.

Kurt, Looks like we should be to your place on the 17th, if all goes according to the new plan. See ya soon.. hot or not.
