Midget 5-Speed Conversion

Yesterday I got to return a favor. Helped a friend install his freshly rebuilt 1500 engine and Quantum Mechanics 5-speed yesterday morning. NICE setup! Places the shifter just at the rear of the cutout on the tunnel, which might require a bit of shaving. But a very good fit. We had to "persuade" the engine down on the motor mount brackets, but once in, it sure looked good!

By the way, said friend is a long-time visitor here. Hint, hint...! :wink: I've known him several years - went with me to escort John Macartney to Memphis when he visited during his Triumph TransAmeriCan Charity Drive. Here's a shot of the three cars in my driveway before we left:

MIckey, the Quantum kit comes with a replaceable tranny tunnel, did you all use that, and cut out the original steel tranny tunnel?
