Microsoft Teams?

I wondered if anyone here uses, or is familiar with, Microsoft Teams.

We're considering it, but I'm not one to buy something just because of advertising. Specifically, does Teams require all users to have *@onmicrosoft.com email addresses and/or Microsoft accounts? can people w/o MS accounts be part of Teams?

Thanks.
Tom M.

My mother used to use Skype to talk to her sisters every day. A few weeks ago Skype went away so she and therefore all of us (don't mess with a 94 year olds tech decisions) went to Microsoft Teams. We have had no issues and none of us hae microsoft accounts. Not sure what you need it for but we only use the free option.

Thanks J-P. The Teams video stuff is free for a limited number of users, so I figure that's what you got to replace Skype.

We'll need the full set of apps. That's where the "MS mail" vs "non-MS mail" question comes up. Our staff all has MS mail, but our 100+ volunteers don't, and they don't want to add another email system just to message back and forth.
