The Nashville British Car Club took a trip to the Beachcraft Heritage Air Museum in Tullahoma Tn. yesterday and they we kind enough to bring out an antique plane so we could all take pictures of it with our cars. Below is a link to a site where I posted the pictures of the planes and cars:

Another member of the forum Mickey joined us and I included a picture of him getting ready to take flight in his TR8

YES!

Actually, we had to leave after lunch, but it was a great drive!

Looking forward to the next one!

Actually, Nial, there were a BUNCH of them. Gorgeous airplanes, all. They even had one without its skin. Beautiful aluminum and wood framing.

This is quite a museum, and they are growing. Take a look at their website, then come on down!

Their annual convention is in October, right after the Nashville British Car Club show. You can make two neat events in one week!

There is a vintage aircraft shop here in Fort Collins restoring a stagger-wing. Absolutely gorgeous. It's neat to watch it be torn down and then rebuilt.

I would love to do that...but weekends in October are already getting precious to us (busy, busy!).....but I'll pencil it in my datebook anyway, just in case.

On a similar note, during the September 19th - 21st weekend, I'll be running the Sprite in the "Thunderbolt Historics" at the newly-completed New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP).

Since NJMP adjoins an aiport (Millville-KMIV), they have decided to put on a static aircraft display from their on-site museum. Neat!
