Miata belt replacement

I'm sure that "Other Cars" is probably where this should go but I bet the Pub gets more looks . I need to take the P/S and A/C belt off my '94 Miata and followed instructions to loosen 3 bolts on the P/S pump. Instructions say that when I loosen the tensioner bolt "the A/C compressor will drop down and you can slip the belt off". The compressor doesn't move...it's hard bolted in place. I think the guy meant that the PS pump would drop down so the belt will come off. The belt is slightly loose but I can't move/rotate the PS pump enough to loosen the belt. I'm lost and confused at this point. I know some of you have Miatas so maybe there are some explanations... Thanks.

Never mind guys...Carla came home from school and had the belt off in 5 minutes...I'd spent about 3 hours fighting it today :(. In some ways, she's a much better mechanic than I am . Main reason I keep her around...NOT !!!
