I removed the transmission from my TC to find the usual bellhousing cracked and the rear gearbox cover plate(mount,(part # 440-320) I've seen bell housings repaired by welding and mine isn't that bad so thats not a problem but I am curious as to whether the cover plate can also be welded????? it's made of some type of alloy...Moss has them but at a price of $350 USD so I'd rather repair mine if possible...Can anyone recommend a place?

Do you belong to the TABC list? Someone probably has a used original plate laying around. You should post a message. Good luck!
 
Yes I do belong to the TABC list, I read everything but don't post too often...I guess it'll be my last resort...
