T-Series MGT Exhaust Stud Thread Size

Need the thread size on a MGTF exhaust manifold studs. Need to order some long neck brass nuts, (3) and I can get a dozen from a bolt supplier for what AS wants for 3, just forgot the size and threads. PJ
 
Aloha PJ,

If the studs are original, the correct size is 10 X 1.5mm by 1 1/2 inches long. Dave DuBois and several other MG sites have a link to "XPAG engine fasteners" which is very helpful. I would suggest you check that sometime in the 65 plus years the studs were not replaced by the more commonly available 3/8 16 TPI studs.
 
Thanks Dave, I found out a little earlier and ordered a set from one of the suppliers and replaced the old ones. I was fortunate that 2 came out easily and the third was a little tougher but came out with no damage to the threads. :encouragement:
