MGB MGB windscreen frame question

SWMBO has had silver streaks all thru her hair all her life. Many women ask her how she does that, thinking it's artificial. Actually it's quite striking... Green eyes only augment the effect.

'Course Im a *bit* prejudiced. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Crap - I guess I'm really sexy then.

I'm going bald and have several gray hairs too - but my dark blonde (very very light brown) hair covers the gray/silver ones pretty effectively.

Been away from the computer a few days and was excited to see all the posts of info on how to reinstall my windscreen. After the first few threads what a disappoinment.

Rick how'd it go, reinstalling the windshield?

Sorry, threads left unused for "a few days" become "fair game" for hijacking...

...from your local thread hijacking, balding, and greying MG guy - hehehehehe

Hey Tony,
Looks like the job is definately a 2 man job. Will have a friend come over who has done it a few times.Using wood screws is an interestingidea. Would like to see it done before I try it. Wouldn't it mess up the white spacer in the body? I've also never used a wood screw that thick.
May the Hair Gods visit us during the night and put hair on our heads, not our ears, nose, back, and butt.
Cheers
Rick

Open your door & look at that little piece of metal that's popriveted under the windshield frame....you can drill the pop rivets out & see the bolts that attach the windshield - you can even use a screwdriver or something else to pull them down...then, pop rivet them back in place when you're finished....hard to understand until you open the door & look

I'm betting that, having given that particular incatation to the hair gods... It'll disappear from your heads and show up on your ears, nose, back, and butt. Just my particular experience... Be careful what you say - hehehehehe - it always comes back to bite you.

Do what Tony says, being able to see what the bolts are doing is way better than trying to "feel" what they are doing.

Also - wood clamps from the frame to under the edge of the fender (with door open) near that little cover you're going to take off will help pull the frame down....protect the paint though
