MG MGB 1971 with a Weber 45 DCOE 152 - where does the engine breathing tube attach? I have just noticed the breathing tube not attached to anything and thought it should attach to the carb. The car was recently attended to by specialist mechanic for a water pump replacement. I would really appreciate anyone's input - I feel very foolish asking but I am very new to this game.

Not "foolish" by any means! Very few folk would even be in possession of an 1800cc MG with that carb. Not any way "normal".

With that engine/induction combo you will likely just need to have the vent go to a "spill bottle" someplace on the left side engine bay.
