It seems that a couple of you guys are in need of a rear axle alignmnent and suspension work.

FWIW - I've got Dunlop 185/70's on my 74½ and don't have any problem with rubbing.

Dunlops, well that might do the trick. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

The exact Dunlop model is:
P185/70 R14 87H
Dunlop D60 A2

I'm lucky in that the last 2 PO's were dedicated to a quality restoration and didn't skimp on anything!

So far the biggest problems that I've encountered are some overspray from the paint job, a cracked dash, and a bit of rust at the front edge of the driver's door/sill junction. Car was fully restored in 1995 and I've got the pics from that.

Yep, I was lucky - it was an eBay car too!

yeah, I figured as much once I saw the condition of my front suspension bushings. Seeing the rub marks in the rear confirmed the need to rebuild it, and possibly enhance it while it's apart.

Remember that rear axles were never perfectly centered on teh chassis from the factory, so if your gaps are off it doesn't necessarily mean you need to repair the car. Stiffer bushings do make a huge difference though.

so do worn bushings... heh /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Well ..after all those treads I had to go out an take a picture of my B with her new minilites 15 inch.

enjoy

wow... 15's kind of look big on a 'B, but that's probably because every 'B I've seen so far has been on 14's. Looks nice... real nice! What size tires are on it? 195/60 15? I've been wanting to upgrade to 15x6 inch rims for a while, but they're on hold til I have everything else ironed out. You have any other pictures where we can see the tires and wheel wells more clearly?

Nunyas, you can see my 15" wheels in person if you like. I run 195/60R15 on them. I'm out of town for a while but if you're interested then let me know and we'll arrange a "viewing" when I get back. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

wait ... "The Flying Raisin" has 15s?

And they look darned AGRESSIVE on those wires...just a little out of my range for the moment but something to keep in mind.
