>>Burble? I think that that is a cry for help nearing the 6K

>Have you tried 3" K&N's?
nope. had an uber-kewl wire gauge vintage filter laying about. That's what it's getting.
>Soon to be funny "V" shaped splits in exhaust valves if >it's too lean! 6K is "Never-Never Land" if the fuel mix is >thin "up there"!!!
I appreciate your constructive criticism. May I refer to you as "Mr. Sunshine" from now on?
>...and "stumble" may be a better term than "burble".

>>I got real news, if this 998cc A 40 does not get 7K it's >>gona get pulled and some serious work.
Wow. I could be wrong, but I think a 998cc MGB would be pretty rare. Or am I in the wrong forum?
Thanks again everyone for your help and advice! Being MGB-ignorant, I consulted with several experts who told me that this couldn't be done, that the carb was simply junk, and that I was wasting my time. I thank you for helping me to prove them wrong.
Sincerely,
Eric Schneider
