I have a 74 MGB that needs a rebuilt or used speedo head. Iam aware of a couple of sources that rebild these things but not certain mine can be saved so would like to purchase another if possible

I'm sure others will post here soon but don't forget to send a PM to Tony Barnhill to see if he can help and there is always eBay. Make sure you match the turns-per-mile number that is on you current gauge. It should be a 4-digit number printed near the odometer window.

You can rebuild or buy a good used one...I just sent an MGC speedo off to be rebuilt because I don't have any extra MGC ones.

Morris over at West Valley Auto Electronics has been rebuilding British and other gauges for some 30 years. He does almost everyone out here, including me. I'm sure you could do it through the mail. You'll end up with a like-new fully calibrated instrument for $120, give or take.
