Anybody got one out of a rear end...I need to know the length from the back side of the bearing to the end that sticks into the 3rd member - splines & all

I'm working on my hybrid rear end & have axles of different length - about 3/4" different....& it doesn't seem to matter whether or not they're for a wire or rostyle rear end - both hubs fit

So, length from back side of bearing to inner end of axle itself, please
 
If MGA axles help I have a set sitting here with the splined hubs removed. Obviously they are banjo axle though.
 
Thanks, no...I need to figure out what I've got...I have 2 different length Salisbury axles

I prefer a thick NY Strip myself /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif But then maybe that is why I weigh over 250 lbs /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Only unit I have currently is assembled and under the car, so no way to tell. Sorry, Tony. That's about the only assembly I don't have a "spare" of... They just don't wear out.
 
I'm disassembling a few rear ends this weekend to figure it out, Doc...will post when I understand it
