I am working on my first MGB restoration. Is there a company that will send you paint samples of carmine and damask red? I seen pictures on the internet, but it is hard to distinguish between the two.

Forget the computer sample photos, go for the paint codes and don't go to Walmart to have it mixed! Have a good body shop mix it. PJ

JP I have the same issue. I don't know what color they put on my car. I know it is not original and appears like "Chevrolet Victory Red", or damask red, or carmine, or flame red code BLVC61. Problem is I cant tell which. So if you find a place to get samples I would like to know. I dont want to invest in paint and then find out I was way off on the color

Not sure about the chips - but, you should be able to take a piece of the car to a shop and they scan and tell you - at least the code.
