anyone catch a show called "perfect strangers" a few days ago? yeah i guess it was a cute movie and all (so my wife says). anyways, she calls me from the next room to tell me there's an mgb on the tv. we've got dvr (tivo) and i wait 'til it's over to catch the scenes with the b. it actually got some good airtime and was driven around a bit. the mgb was filmed in the uk so it was a rhd. it was a red roadster with wire wheels. they made some reference to it being a '68. made me want to drive my b, but the weather is terrible.

My wife taped it since I wanted to watch Masterpiece Theatre. No LBCs there but lots of old RRs. The Rob Lowe movie looked like a 100% chick flick but I did get a look at the MGB and a synopsis of how it figured in the plot. To her credit, my wife thought the car was the best thing about the movie.

true there's no salt on the roads of california, but remember californians do not know how to drive in the rain. being a defensive driver is one thing. being a defensive driver in the rain is another. i think i could hold out the rest of week and drive the remaining 51 with the hood down. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif
