MGB MGB Intake/Exhaust Needed - [re-posting]

Before the board change I posted a version of this request which has disappeared.

I have a friend building a Lemons race car from an Austin Marina. The Marina uses the MGB engine with a single carb.

My friend is looking for an intake/exhaust manifold from a dual carb MGB for the Marina project. He would like to buy the manifolds and the matching carbs with linkage if he can buy them all together. He is not picky about HS or HIF carbs but he is on a budget dictated by Lemons. If a matched and complete setup is not available, he is still interested in buying parts that he can piece together.

If you have parts you can offer for sale or leads on someone who may have parts for sale, please contact me by PM. If PM is not working please post here until it is.

Thanks for your help and leads on these parts.

Doug, I have what he needs, but it's all buried in the back of the barn somewhere. Were in the process of trying to get all the MGB parts consolidated and organized. I have a ton of the stuff! It's going to take a while, but I'll make a special effort to look for a intake and exhaust manifold. Give me a few days to do so. I'll get back with a PM. If I get lost, PM or email me at, pgc161 at fairpoint dot net. PJ

Thanks Paul. I have only had a couple of responses and I will forward yours to my friend.

Thank You!

I have sent my friend a link to the thread so he can follow the conversations.

Been cleaning and reorganizing the storage area where the car parts are located, I found one B exhaust manifold. I forgot how heavy they were. Shipping from Oklahoma might be a bit pricey.B exhaust manifolds are very plentiful and cheap as parts go. I personally would look for one locally first to save shipping, which might be more than the parts. JMHO. PJ

Thanks all. I certainly agree that shipping charges could get quite high on a big cast iron manifold. My friend says he may have a lead on a local set of manifolds and carbs. If that falls through I will be back in touch.

I heard from my friend that he has now sourced all the parts he needed.

Thank all of you for looking and offering!
