MGB MGB in the Big Time -- used in a commercial

Hey MG fans,

I was watching TV last night only to find a commercial for a chewing gum that featured a young lady despondent over a lost love, using her teeth to tear at a beautiful, red, 1972 or so MGB.....

Just thought I should mention it...

I saw that commercial a few days ago - pretty funny.

Kenny,

Yes, it is funny.... However...

It is a statement on how our cars are icons.... I can't drive my A or my B wothout being stopped to hear how 'I had one of these in college'... ot ' my Dad had one of those'.. or ' Wow, cool car Mr......'

The ROI kicks in every time we drive them... and to have it featured in a commercial re-affirms the iconic status of the cars we drive and love so much.

Makes it all so worth while...

No actual MGs or MG parts were harmed in the filming of this commercial!

I saw that one too, really nice looking car, I usally am kind of half watching when I have the TV on (usually reading the paper or on the laptop), so the commercial would only catch my eye when the flashy red sports car appeared, so it took me a while to figure out what was going on, strong teeth on that girl.

We also had a TR4 in Alvin and the Chipmunks, the Sunbeam Tiger in the Get Smart Movie, and I think a AH 3000 in Transformers, so British sports cars are doing pretty well in the popular media, my facvorite though is when Peter Parker (in Spider Man) is looking for cars in the paper and his eyes go from the new cars to the ads for I believe a TR3, Big Healey, and Alfa sports car.
