And some of us who were, are no longer, by choice!

And then some of us no longer in California regret the choice to have left in the first instance, on a daily basis.

Hopefully someone here will buy it.

Re: MGB GT "project" car on Bring-A-Trailer

I'm constantly amazed at how inexpensive the BGT remains.

Really a great car in so may ways. This one is a perfect example of how underpriced they are. Great entry-level LBC.

I think there's one in my future . . . :yesnod:

Re: MGB GT "project" car on Bring-A-Trailer

Hey man - don't be dissing Cali. Our two kids already think less than 60 degrees is freezing cold and over 80 is blazing hot....

That is a tempting BGT eh?

Re: MGB GT "project" car on Bring-A-Trailer

Now Tom, don't you dare call on this one! I'm watching you!

LOL Drew - I'm actually full up right now focused on the TR4A and MGC.

Major repair work is now down to replacing the drivers side floor;

That looks like good progress, Tom. I'm proud of you for keeping your focus.

Re: MGB GT "project" car on Bring-A-Trailer

Oh come on Drew - for fast road work on the types of rallies I do you cna't tell me that Z, minus the garish steering wheel, wouldn't be a hoot!

Re: MGB GT "project" car on Bring-A-Trailer

It's never a issue of the quality of the car in question, Tom (I quite like the early Z cars). Your MGC would be a nice rally car as well, or the TR, or...

Re: MGB GT "project" car on Bring-A-Trailer

Agreed Drew - the TR4A IRS, MGC and Capri all need to get sorted before any new projects. Unless something really tempting comes along of course, then I reserve the right to have no will power and delusions of grandeur on my time availability and restorations skills!

Can't say fairer than that.
