MGB/GT on "Wheeler Dealers"

Tonight on HDTh channel, "Mike manages to find an MGB to restore; mechanic Edd China notes the areas needing the most work: the wheels, engine, bodywork and upholstery." Two-part show, starting and 8:00 eastern time, and repeating at 11:00 tonight.

I watched that earlier and thought it was a decent episode. BUT....they did all that work and got the car looking really decent ONLY to slap the crusty lug nuts back on and no center caps on the wheels??? Come on guys....

Yeah, I know. I've watched other episodes where they took similar shortcuts. Their usual objective is simply to flip the cars, but still...

I imagine they forgot about the nuts until the time came for reassembly and then they didn't have any, nor time to get any before the camera crew left.
I get the impression of a low-budget production, but fun nevertheless. It gives an idea of what you can do if you want.

The worst part about it for me was the lack of rust repair. The dog legs were shot on that car and instead of spending the 50 bucks for a panel and doing a proper repair they installed the alum. siding on the sills. I know ed knows how to a panel repair from all the work on the mini they did.

I'm unimpressed by the whole thing. "Flip This Crate" by my estimation.

At the time fo the sale, they had new lug nuts on the car.

I've been less than impressed by several of their episodes in regards to rust repair.
