I remember some of those long drives.
There really isn't anything to compare to driving the AL-CAN in an LBC. Very little possible support, very long distances between human habitation. Incredible scenery, animals, mountains, all that.

Some of the best breakfasts in the little gas station / restaurants along the way. Wow - getting steak & eggs in one of those places you know you had a meal.

Cruising over a thousand miles of gravel at high speed.

Kicking up a rock into your clutch slave with over 500 miles to go - priceless! Driving through Vancouver BC the day that Charles & Diana came to town (with no clutch) - PRICELESS!!
