I am looking for a fuel tank cap for my 1980 mgb and I came across rimmer bros co. Are they a reputable mgb supplier for parts? Just trying to get my mgb up and running again. Thanks

Rimmer is very reputable, you should have no problem.

Rimmer Bros are just box shifters - they claim to be experts on older cars, but their technical knowledge about the products they sell is woefully inadequate. They don't respond to emails and when you finally get through to web chat they are simply rude. And they are expensive. Better to buy from Ebay - where sellers care about customer feedback and are less expensive

If you don't believe me, check them out on Trustpilot

Use Abingdon Spares, good knowledgeable folks and they are British car people! Great folks to deal with. PJ

There are quite a few suppliers in the U. S. As Paul161 says, Abington Spares is one of the best. Shipping costs from the UK used to be good, but now it's become prohibitive.

I still ship from UK, cheaper than from CA, for me.

Buy from various vendors and Ebay.UK. When I needed body patch panels, I ordered 1 trial piece, said they had two, backordered me, took 4 months and shipping doubled price. Ordered from UK manufacturer and saved 50% on order of 200lbs and UPS shipping was only $140 more than from CA. Been buying from UK since. They are the British car pros. Looking at tires too, seems US has limited 13" tires at $300 ea., found for $88 in UK and shipping, will save 25%. Internet real helpful.
