On my left hand door the window is very hard to roll up or down so I took it apart and there is a spring under the window crank that turns. its is all rusty. is that a reason why my window is hard to crank. and where do i get a new one? i couldn't find a new one on moss's website. and also when ever i take apart my door the back of the door panel is wet and so is the plastic. any idea where it might be coming from? and last thing. the dood handel/arm rest on the inside is missing a plastic washer type peice to hold one side of it on. moss doesn't have that peice eather. Hey Tony Barnhill, got any of these part that i need?

Sounds like the seal that is on the outside of your glass may be leaking or destroyed, so that when it rains, water runs down the outside of the glass, or you are l;eaking around the vent window into your door

its under the vent window but when ever it rains hard i sit in my car and try to find out where its coming from. maybe around the bottem of the vent window?? i don't know

you probably need to replace all the rubber gaskets in the door. If Tony doesn't have a winder mechanism, which would be a miracle, email me and I'll pull one off the parts car

there you go

Two places that I get parts : Victoria British and Sportscar Warehouse.
Victoria British has a web site but you have to order a free catalog to get parts... via Phone
Sportscar Warehouse also has a web site and you have to call for parts and tech info...
You have already mentioned Moss
Those are my three for parts...other than local yards and auto stores.

sportscarwarehouse.com

The info given on leaks was all very good and it sounds like you have "cleaned up" the problem...but the rubber on the outside of the window ( I would call the scraper) is the key to keeping water out of the door. It gets hard /brittle over the years and is worthless after that. Even if it doesn't have any missing pieces along it...if it isn't pliable it doesn't seal against the glass and water gets down inside the door. Water will get in there no matter what you do toward the back edge of the door where there is no scraper but you can limit it if you replace them every few years. Pain in the "elbow" but must be done. Or keep it covered.
