MGB MGB books?

Hi could anyone tell me the best book and where to find it for MGBs? I'm really inexperienced when it comes to mechanics and I am hoping to slowly learn with my mgb so I want to buy a book that will better explain how to perform various tasks on the car. Thank you. -Ben

Get a Bentley's manual. It is the most comprehensive manual available and includes a copy of the original factory service manual. You may also want to pick up a Haynes manual for a different viewpoint. In fact, the more repair manuals you find the easier things become since they all have different approaches to the same problems.

I've got both the Haynes and Bentley and while they are good starting points, without forums and other web sites like this one, I'd be lost. Other than to tell you what a specific part is (thought, not what it neceasarily does) I think both are pretty superficial. Good luck, you'll need it. But well worth the effort and frustration I might add.

Lindsay Porter wrote a great book on the MGB 'Guide to purchase and DIY restoration' I'd recommend you start there.
