MGA MGA Twin Cam handbrake parts

Does anybody know if the rear brake assemblies for a Twin Cam are the same as a mid 60s Jaguar sedan with what looks to be exactly the same pieces ? They're four wheel Dunlop disc brakes but with a spine drive instead of peg. Kevin

You have to be careful - some of the Jag parts (e.g. pad carriers) can be longer and will foul the Twin Cam wheels. The hubs and discs are totally different and not interchangeable. The calipers are similar but with different cylinder diameters. What is it that you want to do?

Bill, thanks. I only want to keep someone from tossing Jag front and rear axles if someone can use the brake parts. I don't have a twin cam anymore so nothing to compare with directly. The pieces look the same but of course could be larger all over.

The calipers will be usable (the bore of the pistons may vary) so saving them would be a good idea. I run 3 cars with those brakes - my Twin Cam race car, a Mk 2 deluxe coupe and my Jensen CV-8. It's interesting to see what fits what - I use Datsun 2000 caliper halves on the race car front!
