My friend that hooked me up with the junkpile B Build project has a 1959 MGA roadster that needs a new home. Here are some details about it. It was represented to him as a 1959 and it is a roadster (No title just a bill of sale). It has a V6 in it currently It seems to be a pretty complete car. I has had some "custom" work done on the nose, sort of Cobra style. I looked it over today a little bit (There is a yellowjacket colony that needs to be eliminated before I do much more poking around). I did get a few pictures. There is no firm price attached to the car. The owner has piles of MGB parts and has decided that he would be better suited with an MGB. First choice would be a CB GT. If anyone is interested in the MGA, and would like to trade a good daily driver quality GT for the roadster, let me know. I was able to get under the car a little bit and it is less rusty than most cars I have looked at. It has been fortunate to be in our dry climate.I think it would make someone a good vintage racer, But I think it is also very restorable. We are going to try to sneak up on the wasps tomorrow and get rid of them, so more details should be forthcoming. If I get under the thing and it turns out to be as unrusty as I think it is, I may have to find a gt to trade him.
