MGA with Mazda rotary. When all is said and done, I'd still prefer the regular engine, but this one is kind of interesting.

I see It's running the Twin-cam wheels. they set it off nicely. Bet it raises some eyebrows when the MG guys hear it roll by
 
I like the idea of it, but I would prefer a more stock appearance...and a muffler.
 
yeah, that's too bad. Looks like a nice A. MGB engines are a dime a dozen and would have fit right in and at least looked close to stock.

Now you have a custom beast, that will be difficult to work on. Personally I think it lowers the value.

I really like MGA's. I love the sweeping lines, a classic british roadster.

Hello all,
if it was a true Twin Cam , then it is a shame as they are now quite rare, as are the engines, and had a decent performance increase over the 'B' series engined cars.

Easy on him guys! He said it came without an engine, and a lot of other parts (GM wheels???) are not original, so it was the perfect candidate for a conversion.

I think a good exhaust system would add to the element of surprise though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Quite right, but I imagine that what prompted the conversion in the first place was the all-to-common, with Twin-Cams, issue of the engine innards being nowhere near their assigned locations.
