Barring any problems...like the hurricane headed for Fl. ...my MGA coupe should be either loaded...or is being loaded..on the car transporter and headed towards New Mexico. After all the problems finding someone to do this, I'll just do it myself in the future, no matter the time or cost involved. I'm working a deal on an enclosed trailer and a GMC dually truck. Since the coupe has been sitting at my sisters house in Okeechobee Fl. shes been offered quite a bit of money for it , whenever they took the cover off it folks just pulled in and asked how much. They finally put it behind the house out of sight.....Now I'll be nervous till it gets here.
 
Kind of like an expectant father, Jack? LOL Not much more that you can do during delivery...just let the doctor (truck driver) do his thing and hope everything comes out right, the right way, and as quickly and safely as possible ;-)

Shouldn't you be boiling water or something?
 
After a few problems with the delivery guys...the car is loaded and on the way to New Mexico. The driver had to have some tires changed on the semi before finally arriving to where the A was. The storm off the coast of Fl. was dumping lots of rain...but they pressed on. Thinking they may need the E-brake...and the handle was stuck down from 20 years of being stored, I talked my sister and her family into soaking and pulling up on the handle....dumb....it stuck... They ended up jacking..tapping, and nearly drowning but eventually getting it positioned at the back of the truck. Then it broke loose and they pushed it backwards all the way to the front of the hauler facing out. The next time it rolls will be at my shop sometime between sunday and tuesday. Cars okay...but I'm a total write-off. To calm my nerves we're going to a local HS football game about 150 miles away and check out a lead on a MGA roadster I heard about. I think I need an intervention.

(Laughs to self) I can relate; several years ago, I had my "just painted" Healey shipped up from Paul Tsikuris' shop in Florida. I was in a similar condition, but found that Scotch (or Margaritas) was helpful /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

My car wasn't drivable (intermittantly stuck brakes, varnished up Webers, etc....) but my neighbors pitched in to help get her in the garage. Be glad that you won't be faced with a night like this:

I've calmed down a bit...but won't be totally good till the A arrives. Going to put it on the rack, do all the usual inspections etc. but my sister said it was really nice and straight and only saw one small spot of rust. Trunk was clean, piled with parts. She said so many people stopped to look and ask if it was for sale that she had to move it behind the house and cover it....glad the yard was fenced.
