MGA MGA engine weight?

Hi--I'm getting ready to pull the engine --transmission--and everything hanging on to it----how much does the darn thing weigh anyway?--

A lot! A B engine is around 400 lbs. Don't remember if that's with or without "everything hanging on to it". Transmission is 75 or 80 lbs.; add 25 or so if overdrive. Would imagine the A engine is pretty close to that.

thanks--I had always used "trucker's rope" orange and black with the morris minor, MG Midget and a chain fall--but those engines, etc were "A-Block" and a lot lighter--
I'll have to rethink this--thanks again

Easier and quicker. to pull the engine alone and get the trans out later.

IIRC the complete engine without ancillaries stuck on it is around 350 lbs.
