I would appreciate information on sourcing of remanufactured MGA 1600 engines. I do not have a core.

This guy may have one:

Team triumph has 1600 blocks for $80.00

And I have a couple of striped heads you can have for shipping.

Seriously....Don't be too concerned....They are all over.

You should be able to get one cheap....
(as in under $500 for a nice rebuild-able core)

The biggest problem seems to be cranks....They are drying up for some reason.

I noticed that you were in Missouri. I have a 1600 block here at the house. It is bare but could either be used as a core or to build. I am located 25 miles north of KC and I am willing to crate and ship if you need it to be. $75 for the block.
As far as the rebuild goes, there are a couple of guys here in the local club that can do this for you. They operate MG repair shops now from home.

Midwest British - welcome to the Forum!

Is that you, Joe? Did I buy my TR8 from you a while back? (Don't worry - it's all good!)
