T-Series MG TD Tire Size Question

I dunno, Steve...there were new tubes in them! hehehe
 
Treu...but they'd held air as long as I've owned the car! Never added any!
 
But you haven't driven on them, either. Also, not long ago, I seem to remember someone's unused spare tire exploding in the trunk while they drove. Old rubber is very unpredictable!
 
Yep - we made the correct choice.

Now, for a tidbit...155SR15 & 165-80R15 are only about 1-1/4" different in height & there's no difference in width!
 
Only 1 1/4" difference in height? That's a huge amount! The 165 will give lower revs at a given speed, which in my opinion is a good thing. Better check that speedo calibration though!
