At the local car show this past weekend when taking a closer look at some MG TDs I noticed they have quite a nice wiper system. Its a self contained unit and that bolts to the windshield frame. Perfect I thought for cars like a Lotus Seven. One doesn't have to cut the scuttle and if they are like me and want to fit a Brooklands screen after the registration inspection then wipers come off with the big screen. They sell them new at Moss for something like $600! :shock: Anyone know of something similar but err more lower priced?

You can buy the parts used for much less than that. I see motors on eBay for around $100. The pivot is nothing special and you could fabricate something far nicer using modern hardware. Be forewarned, these wiper motors aren't very strong.
 
I've a good used motor from my TD that I'm not gonna use because I have a new one...don't know what other pieces of the setup I have that'll be extra yet.
