Happy New Year all! It was a gorgeous day today in Eastern PA...mid 50's and sunny...so I decided to drive around a bit to warm up the engine so I could finally do a compression check on my 1952 TD.
So I drove around for a while. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Then drove my daughter around for a while. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Then drove my wife around for a while. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Finally the engine was warmed up sufficiently /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif and I did the compression check. I came up with the following numbers:
"Dry": 135/135/130/135
"Wet"(a tsp of oil in cylinder): 150/150/150/145
Is this about what I should expect on a TD that's in good shape? Thanks for any words of wisdom!
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif Any excuse to take the car out! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif
