I am a Triumph and Porsche guy. But as you know word gets around. Widow just contacted me. She has a 53 (?) TD her husband parked in a garage almost 40 years ago. Drove it regularly but parked it when he got ill. She says (I know) no rust, NOT great petina but driver condition if you really want originalality. She is now getting on in years and selling home. Asked for my help. I know these aren't extremely valuable and values vary by condition. I'll go see it when I get a chance and turn this for her. I have done a little research. Is $5K to $6K ball park for an unrestored old but OK TD? Am I in the ball park?

Really depends on the condition. TD price range is pretty wide. Hagerty's pricing tool lists a range of $9k (driver) -> $40k (nicest one on the planet), with an average of about $17k. Most that I've seem to be in the mid - high teens if they're in good running condition.

If this is really a project, then your price idea may be reasonable. Really depends on the rust/rotten wood question.
