T-Series MG TC King Pins

I'm tackling some work on an MG TC. I've never replaced King Pins on this particular car before. Do the king pins install with no machining or do you need to have an appropriately sized reamer to fit them to the bushings? Do the bushings press fit by hand or will a press be needed? I'm trying to determine if I need to pull the front hubs from the axle or if the job can be done in situ.

Input from someone that has been there and bought the t-shirt would be greatly appreciated.

Off the car. Reaming the bushes in line is kinda critical. And trying to get the bushings in while fighting the suspension bits that're in the way when it's still mounted would be more aggro than it's worth. JMHO.

You can't do them on the car because once the king pin slips out, the entire assembly falls to the floor! There is nothing to be done on the axle itself other than visual inspection. You do need a press of some sort, or at least a bench vise with aluminum jaws. You can probably press and ream the new bushings without disassembling the hubs and brakes. I haven't done it this way but it should be possible. If you're crafty enough with a jig of some sort, you may not even have to pull the brake hose off!

I haven't done mine yet but it was suggested to me that I contact a machine shop that does commercial truck suspension rebuilds since many of them still use similiar setups and they should be familiar with what needs to be done.
