Hi,
This may not be the correct forum, but does anyone out there do anything with the sport sedans or were they not available in the states? Sorry I have a Midget and live in my own little world so I have to ask. Now I can even live in my own little forum.

Thanks.

Oh, yeah...I've a 1963 MG1100 Sports Sedan - love it! Plus, I also have a 1956 ZA Magnette with its 2 parts cars & a 1960 MkIII Farina Magnette!

Of all the Austin America's I think I like the MG 1100/1300 best. I would like the Vanden Plas Princess version best, but for the automatic transmission.

Does your 1100 have the hydrolastic suspension? How is that to live with? I'm kind of afraid of it.

A pretty clean little Wolsley 1300 just sold on E Bay, I almost bid, but it was a British import, and more than likely to rusty for me.

Yes,

They were sold over here:

- The MG 1100 in the States from 1963/64 to 1967

- The MG 1100 Princess in the States (aka Vanden Plas Princess 1100)

- The Morris 1100 and Austin 1100 in Canada until 1967

- The Austin America (aka Austin 1300) from 1968 to 1972, sold under that badge in both the States and Canada

I'm not aware of any Austin or Morris 1100's currently on the road in Canada, I did see one recently in an old scrapyard in Manitoba though.

There seem to be a fair number of MG 1100's on the road in the States and they come on the market reasonably often.

There was a chap in our area who had a beautiful MG Z sedan. Perfectly restored, baby blue over dark blue, just gorgeous. I've wanted one ever since.
