So I'm sitting in the mess condensing 3 lanes into one at the entrance to Carbon Canyon Road in Brea, CA yesterday and a Pearl White MGTD comes zipping out of the canyon heading west.

Looked like a near-perfect specimin driven by a younger (40ish ) looking guy with a big smile on his face.

Anyone we know?

BTW I've narrowed down the home base of that well-worn black MGTF that I see around the Imperial Highway WalMart to about 3 blocks of residential and one of these days I'm going to catch him and have a talk.

Dang I miss the old man's TD... I shoulda never given him my blessing to sell it. But he loves the airplane he bought with the money and it definately has helped him keep his sanity after the loss of his second wife. Some day I'll just have to find a "T" of my own.
 
I saw a new one in Huntsville just now...early white GT with chrome wire wheels - couldn't get up to him as I was back in traffic & he turned.
 
Not sure who that is. You may want to check the VMG web site. I was in Brea today with my OEW MGA. Just passing through though.
 
saw it again today... got a better look - not as near-perfect as I thought - more of a shiny and complete runner. I think it was the same one I saw on a flatbed tow truck a few months ago coming from the same direction. I wasn't in a place where I could get turned around quick enough to follow but I'll track him down. I don't recognize him from any of the pictures on the VMG web site.

Good to see someone using a T on a regular basis! The Old Man's TD was my backup driver whenever the TR3 was being cranky.
 
If it were primrose I would know who it was, assuming it's a daily driver. Can't figure out who has a white one though.
