Randy, the reason you didn't find a "Midget" prefix is because we have a separate form for Midgets and Sprites. Because those two cars share so much in common and parts are often interchangeable. To discus Midgets (or Sprites) jump on over to the Spridget forum.

Looks great. What wheels are you using. Are those Miata Seats?

Re. Fitting - Without the roll bar you can get significantly more recline in the seats and cockpit room. Miata Seats also provide additional comfort over stock seats. IMHO of course.

Yea these are for the no ass club for sure.... I'm there Jim

fantastic! GREAT job!! i am so close on mine I can smell the engine getting ready to run!

What did you finally decide to do for the fuel filler tube?

I'm not tall but I'm stocky (ok hugely fat - there I said it).
I'd rather not reveal my weight, it's that bad.
That said, I get in and out of my Midget at least twice a day.
I'll freely admit it's way easier with the top down and no roll bar.
The Miata seats are also a great help.

Randy, she's a beauty!
I assume the turn signals are part of the headlights?

:eeek:

Your weight is bad enough you have to make two trips? :jester:

Dude, we've just seen pics of you. You're not overweight.

Did you want to EAT the baby when you were holding it??

No? Then you're not a Fat Bastard...

Unless since then you've eaten both the baby and it's mother... you're not overweight....

Thanks Billy,
Yes, it does take two trips!
I guess if the line is weather I can get in and out of my car then I'm still ok, but I'm not delusional.
Maybe I always just compare myself to my High School wrestling weight, by that standard I'm 'out of shape'.
(round is a shape right?)

Anyway, not to sidetrack the thread - that's a real pretty Midget and I'd be afraid to drive it the way I drive mine.

So Rick, we can at least describe you as not being spherical, taller laying down than standing up.

Chuck Christ on the Spridgets AutoX Forum, he who uses no caps, prior to bariatric surgery used to lay claim to being the worlds largest Sprite Driver at 6'5 or 6'7 and over 300 lbs. I would have loved to watch him get in and out of his BE. Last I heard he was in the 190 lb range.

the filler tube is currently in the trunk, working on putting it behind the pass taillight. that would have been easy but i relocated and incorporated the reverse light into the tail lights, so now i have to rethink how to gain access behind the light
