Metal AND Brass door hinges...huh?????

aluminum, huh... weird. not these however, one set is definatly brass (at least colored) and feel lighter than the others which are magnetic (metal).

The BJ7 & 8s had different hinges made from aluminum. I’m not sure what material was used on the hinges for the earlier cars.

I have a '56 BN-2 and the door hinges are steel all around.
There are several different style hinges, the BN-2 hinges are different from the BN-1. I don't know where the serial number break was, but you can look at the AH shop manual and see the differences.
