I was out fighting with my 8 (see thread about the radiator)and I took it for a quick ride up the road. As I was driving I saw a Dodge Stratus come up as I was turning around. The gentleman in the car and his teen son were waving me down so I figured some one looking for some directions. Here he had moved in to the neighborhood while I was deployed and had seen my 8 sittig in my garage when ever some one would open it. THen he said this summer he had been keeping an eye out hoping to catch me. Seems he has two TR6 in the garage (one being rebuilt adn one donating parts) Even worse, he had two TR4s which he practically gave away because of too many car projects. I hope to stop up and help him, the 6 is one of my favorites. Sadly he did not know about the tr8

Maybe you ought to go chase the two 4's down and make an 8 out of them!

I started of with the 2/69 Armor then went to the Guard to the 1-103 Ar but have been with the 104th Cav since. Lots of Blackhorse soldiers still around. It is sad to see them at NTC, too illustious of an unit for that job.But better than having their flag rolled up I guess

I agree a part of me was sad to see the unit transferred to the NTC, but I do think it helps the Army as a whole to tap into their experience.

The army is so small, and getting smaller. they have the recuits up but so many younger guys (E-3 thru E-5) are getting out that each trip to Iraq is like taking an unit of basic trainee. Losing too much experince and it is expensive to learn that type of lessons over and over

Agreed - but it's hard to get people to agree to risk their lives for someone who doesn't appreciate it.
