Many of us in southern New England had an "interesting" Christmas Day.
Christmas Eve - view out my kitchen window:
But, a massive storm hit on Christmas Eve night. Three to five inches of rain within two hours, winds up to 70, thousands without power, internet, phone, cell, all Christmas Day. Christmas dinner here was a bottle of cranberry juice and a few granola bars. Power companies worked all through the day (and are still working) to restore power lines downed by thousands of trees.
Two feet of snow melted as temps went up near 70 during the storm, then dropped last night to 25. Basements flooded, streets frozen over, sidewalks treacherous.
Then, as the sun set here, and power came back, a glorious sunset arrived:
Merry Christmas to all!
