I need a new jack.. As you know, they are expensive. It seems to me that that a Mercedes jack might work on LBC's. Merc jacks can be had on ebay for as little as $20 delivered. Anybody have any experience with this.
 
I use one off of old Honda I used to have that my daughter ruined. Scissors jack gets used all of the time. And a whole lot safer that LBC OEM Equipment.
 
I wouldn't use an OEM Mercedes or BMW jack on my LBCs. Throw them as far as you can; then pick them up and throw them again.

A decent quality scissor jack can be had at WalMart for about $25.
 
:iagree: And stows a lot more conveniently, too, IMO.
 
I have a Wally-Mart screw-type scissors jack in my MG, works like a charm and is very small and easy to store. It's only a few inches wide when fully compressed.

Don't remember what I paid, but it was el cheapo.

Thanks for the advise. I'll have to check WalMart. I have to admit that I've only been to WalMart about three times in my life.

I'm sure it will be an interesting experience.

Harbor freight has them too - if you want to spare yourself the pleasure.
 
or... go dig around at the pick and pull (more interesting than Wal-Mart)
