Meguiars NXT

Hey, I didn't even mention the claying and polishing process. That sucker's gonna look great with a couple layers of NXT on it...or maybe Zaino...

I haven't decided which.

I saw Meguiars NXT and other stuff from Meguiars at Target. So you might want to check your nearest Target Store to see if they sell it there.

No offense to John Loftus if had anything to do with it, but it's hideous.

Just came across this thread. No, I had nothing to do with it. Sounds like it is a good product though .. will have to give it a try.

Cheers,
John

I have looked at various stores and can not find NXT. Where does one buy it???

Walmart carries it, and I understand Autozone will have it (if not already), and probably Pep Boys. You can mail order it from autogeek.net if all else fails.

I bought mine from Advance Auto Parts....discounted too! The jury is still out on this for me. I used it on original paint in good condition on my 1980 'B', some panels I used Zaino on, some I used Griot's. The NXT is easier to apply, but the other two smell really nice and aren't difficult to apply, but I think that the NXT doesn't last as long as the other two. I'll try it again before I pass judgement though.

Been to a huge Walmart and nothing. Tried a car place but will try some others too. They all had Gold and many other McQ... products but not that. Thanks and I will keep looking

I haven't found it at WalMart, but did buy a bottle at Autozone. Worked good, but the tired paint on my Spider probably didn't show it off as good as it could be.

You can actually go online and order the stuff if you can't find it in a store...here is a link to one I found...

Online NXT Wax

Good Luck..you'll love it... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Our local Target is stocking it NXT.

They normally recommend that you buy from retailers but if you have trouble finding particular products through your normal suppliers Meguiar's will sell direct. You can order from them online or by phone.

While I haven't tried NXT yet, we did find however that Meguiars wetlook polish over a varnished wood dashboard creates a superb mirror finish....mind you thats after hours of sanding with 2000 wet/dry paper....varnish/sand/varnish/sand/varnish....the the polish. But you get my drift. :driving:

Lately, I've had more than the usual curiousity in effective waxes and polishes for some reason so I'm finding the discussion on Meguiars NXT interesting. With my Healey 3000, I've been using Autoglym products for the past couple of years. What's the consensus on how Autoglym rates?

We haven't had a lot of input because Autoglym isn't widely available stateside, but some of the things I've read on the wax/polish enthusiast sites haven't been that great...of course that's comparing to their usual S100, P21S, Pinnacle Souveran, Zaino, etc. For a product available at the local Target or WalMart, NXT has had a lot of praise from the same people.

A friend just bought a 2004 C5 Corvette, Torch Red and polished it with NXT; I must admit I was impressed. Not too shabby!

Managed to find some NXT on the weekend and applied it to my Healey 3000 Mark 2 on Sunday morning. Have to admit, it looks awfully good and I'm convinced it has taken the gloss and ahine on the Old English White to a higher level than the Autoglym I have been using.
