Seems like a lot of people were going all pale over the Meguiar's new NXT products, so I decided to give it a try.
First reaction: all the "easy on easy off" hype isn't that big a deal. It's no easier than Meguiar's #20, but still is pretty easy and forgiving to put on and take off. Shines great, and is very slick on the paint (seems to resist finger prints too as I did a lot of testing of that slickness!)
For one reason or another I haven't finished the whole car, but here's part of the MG prepped with NXT Tech Wax:
For comparison here's part of last year's detailing series taken in almost the same lighting conditions. The first image was taken last August after washing the car in Dawn, polishing with Meguiar's paint cleaner, polishing with Meguiar's #7, a coat of Meguiar's #20, and a final topping of Meguiar's #26. The second picture is the same car with NXT Tech Wax (with just a wash, no additional polishing - and it hadn't been waxed/polished since last August):
PS: The only thing I absolutely, positively cannot stand about NXT is the bottle it comes in. No offense to John Loftus if had anything to do with it, but it's hideous. I realize the shape probably was a marketing scheme to give it a "next generation" look (whatever that is), but Meguiar's would be doing themselves a huge favor by putting it the bottle the professional products (#20, #7, #26, etc) comes in.
