Mazda 3 vs Ford Focus

Hey guys! I am just on the point of buying a new car. I am thinking of 2 models – the new Mazda 3 2.0 SkyActive 165HP and the Ford Focus EcoBoost 150HP. Mazda looks fantastic but Ford is much more cheaper. I have compared these two cars here: [DELETED]

This site suggests that I should choose the Mazda. And what do you think, which car would you choose? Thanks for your opinions.

I will never buy a Mazda again. Mine (mazda 6 2004 blew an engine at 270km and rusted almost from the get go. My sisters Mazda 5 also blew an engine and my cousins mazda five two engines. My mothers protege has rusted like crazy and has a terribe banging when you drive due to an improperly manufactred sway bar.

So many engine explosions - Wow! I hope that you know that “R” on the gear stick doesn’t mean “rocked” and shifting from top to "R" gear when driving fast may result in engine explosion.

I've driven the new Ford Focus as a rental, and gotta admit that for an econo-box it was a very nice environment to be in, even the trunk was finished nicely (much nicer than the trunk in a Chevrolet Malibu). The engine, while peppy, was gutless compared to my normal daily drive, but it did provide enough zip to get onto the freeway without holding up traffic, and get around town without feeling like it couldn't get out of its own way. The nice thing about that Focus rental was it is a cheap car that is nicer to drive and be in than I expected. It was nicer to drive and be in than both the Chevrolet Malibu and the Chevrolet Impala, which were other cars that I drove in the same time frame that I rented the Focus.

You might want to look at the Subaru Impreza. I have a 2011 and I love it and it has all wheel drive and a lot of pep.

Your IP address traces to a much different country from where you claim to be located - same country as the website you linked to coincidentally. It would appear you did not join to discuss British cars and the British car Hobby, which is the purpose of this forum.
