Since I have emptied out my BJ8's engine compartment for painting as the engine is being rebuilt, I thought this would be a good time to rebuild the clutch and brake MCs. Is there a correct procedure for separtating the spring assembly? The bores don't look pitted so I think they are rebuildable.

Hi Shorn, You really do not have to separate the valve assembly since the rubbers go on opposite ends. However, there is a valve clip located at the valve rod that acts like a circlip and releases the two sections.--Fwiw--Keoke
