Finally at stage of adding fluid to hydraulic system. Tackled clutch first and all seemed to work out although took some time till MC started pumping fluid ... early Lockheed system with combined clutch brake reservoir. Next started on brakes and MC is not pumping fluid. I believe position of MC is adjusted as per manual. Any ideas on how to initiate flow of fluid? If adjustment of position of MC is off so piston is partly closing fluid inlet, I'm thinking body of cylinder should move back a bit toward firewall. That make sense? Cheers, Mike

Can you get the required .030" free play on the brake side? If so, the position of the MC is fine.

If the freeplay is OK, I would try loosening the outlet fitting and pushing the piston in by hand (or with a prybar, etc). The MC does not pump air well at all, so the goal is to work fluid into the piston area by letting air out. Once you get a few bubbles out, tighten the fitting and try again.

From the looks of your photo, though, you may have to start by removing the MC so you can put the access panel on from under the dash.
