master cyl, leak

76 TR6 : Master cyl. has started leaking. The fluid is seeping down the front of the vac. booster. I have a new cyl. on order, but I'm wondering if any damage has been done to the booster because of the leak. Can I just clean out any fluid that has found its way into the booster?

Worth a try, but don't be surprised if the booster dies within a few months.

I made a "vacuum cleaner" out of a Mason jar and a cheap air-powered vacuum pump, then stuck a length of brass tubing down through the opening to suck out as much fluid as possible from the inside of the booster. Seems to be OK so far.

Tom......you might want to check your pedal box too. When my MC let go it did the usual paint removal below it, but it also dumped a lot into the servo which then leaked onto the pedal box inside the car. Ignore the yellow arrows but you can see the blistered and missing paint. I ended up getting a rebuilt servo from Ted Schumacher https://www.tsimportedautomotive.com/
