Massive Data Breach

As you may have heard already, there has been a massive data breach exposing billions of people's personal data to the dark web. Not that this article has a tool you can use to check if your data has been exposed. (I already figure the Chinese have most of my personal data from the OPMN breach of a few years back. Since I held a TS / SAP clearance back in the day, I know my data was in the OPM database.

Yeah, I'm stuffed as well. Just a question of whether or not you look "interesting" enuff, methinks.

This sort of thing is why I bypass the convenience of keeping my info everywhere to now need to enter information. No phone payment apps, paper checks for bills and so on. It's not perfect but the fewer places my information is the better.

Unfortunately, we have little control of how companies, organizations, employers, websites, forums, etc. *use* our information, and where they *store* our information. And how many of us actually read the "Terms of Service" we often have to agree to.

I realize I can't stop what they do or ensure the security measures used to protect data. But I do hope to minimize risk by limiting as best I can, how much is out there is different locations.

If you put a patch of grass next to a bucket of ice next to a freshly painted wall and watched them all simultaneously - that would be WAY more interesting than my data! LOL :D

I "freeze" my credit reports with the three major credit reporting companies. For what it is worth.
