Mark VII nostalgia

My second (third, fifteenth?) childhood is here.

First car I ever owned (1966) was a 1955 Mk VII. Grand saloon, 3.5, powder blue (?) with red leather (vinyl?) upholstery. I think the dash lights were ultra-violet, so the gauge lettering "glowed". Very cool tool kits inside the doors. Dual fuel tanks, air cleaner for city, country, racing. Four speed gearbox with (Borg-Warner?) electric overdrive. Sunroof.

This was when I lived in Texas.

Does anyone own a car similar to that?

Nostalgia is calling.

Thanks.
Tom

I miss my 58 MkVIII. I never had it on the road, but it had all that stuff. black with red leather. It just dripped class.... the price of parts shocked me back to reality, and it had to go down the road.
