Mark Macy will give a workshop at the Triumph Register of America National Meet. The Meet will be held at Charles Town, West Virginia on June 17 - 20. The host hotel is The Inn at Charles Town. Registration forms may be downloaded from triumphregister.com.

I hope to see some BCFers there!

Mark Macy will present an enlightening workshop he calls “Much Ado about Triumphs”, where the mysteries of parts that have been changed through the years and poor maintenance practices by previous owners can cause confusion for the Triumph restorer of today.

Mark Macy is the TRA’s Technical Advisor. He is a fourth-generation auto mechanic who learned the craft at his family’s business, Macy’s Garage in Ohio.

Mark Macy said:
They say that leaded gas was harmful to children, so today we have to make do with an unleaded variety. I loved the smell of leaded gas, and the exhaust fumes that went along with it. As far as I can tell, the only negative effect that I suffered was in becoming addicted to cars, airplanes, and anything else that burns fossil fuels for motive power.
As a sideline, Mark continued to work on his and his friends’ cars out of his home after the family garage went out of business. This included British sports cars as well as American iron. After a career as a pilot, Mark now spends most of his time helping others maintain and improve their collector cars. Perhaps Mark is best known to TR enthusiasts for the new Macy’s Garage, producing and selling parts that were NLS for a time.

Just ordered a few things from Mark today as a matter of fact - he has some unique parts for our cars at very good prices. Really sorry I can't make that meeting, other work stuff is in the way. But at least I just joined up with the TRA and am looking forward to seeing the first newsletter.

I was curious why Mark doesn’t advertise on the British Car Forum, he also has a link to the British Car Chat that’s nothing but SPAM! And no link to BCF, I don’t get it!
